The foundation of IET’s vision to be a customer-focused company began in 1946. Then called Industrial Experimental Manufacturing, the Company primarily supplied the automotive industry with prototype stampings, honing its understanding of the specific demands of this market while expanding its capabilities. In 1999, the Company was purchased by James A. Karchon, ushering in a new direction built on industry diversification and vertical integration.

Today, as a trusted supplier, IET supports the Automotive & Commercial Vehicle, Defense & Aerospace markets with a broad range of manufacturing solutions.
